Falcons coach makes six-word statement on Bijan Robinson after spectacular primetime showing image

Bijan Robinson produced the best performance of his still young NFL career on Monday as the Atlanta Falcons upset the Buffalo Bills, leading his head coach to attach an eye-catching tag to his name.

Robinson exploded for a team-record 238 yards from scrimmage in the Falcons' 24-14 win over the Bills.

The 2023 first-round pick went for 170 yards on the ground, tying a career-high set last season, including an 81-yard touchdown run that put Atlanta up 21-7 in the second quarter.

He also added 68 yards on the ground as the Falcons improved to 3-2 ahead of another primetime clash with the 4-2 San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

After the game, Falcons coach Raheem Morris lavished effusive praise on the former Texas star.

Morris: Bijan the best in the league

"He's the best player in football," Morris said of Robinson.

"I've said it multiple times. I can't say it enough. You can always have your pick.

"You can always go out there and figure out who you want to vote for, but in my opinion he's the best player in football."

Robinson averaged 8.9 yards per attempt on the ground and, through five games, has numbers that could put him in the MVP conversation.

Indeed, Robinson has 484 rushing yards and 338 receiving yards to his name, with those figures seeing him join Bills legend and Hall of Famer Thurman Thomas (1991) as only the second player to record 450-plus rushing yards and 300-plus receiving yards in the opening five games of a campaign.

Thomas won the MVP that year and, while that award has long since been dominated by quarterbacks, Robinson has already built an impressive early case.
